Who we are
J Howlett Joinery is run by founder, lead joiner and designer Joe. Joe’s path to joinery was a winding one. After completing a Fine Art degree where his practice focused on abstract painting, he worked in an art gallery and began learning joinery to help with gallery installs. At this point he decided to complete some formal training, and fell in love with the art of joinery and furniture design. Since then Joe has worked for a number of years for a joinery company before establishing his own business. His wealth of skills and expertise, appreciation of art and design, eye for detail and craftsmanship is at the core of every piece of furniture he makes.
